Cash donations

Historic Hyde Square is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. All of our efforts are undertaken by neighborhood volunteers; we have no paid staff.

Your donation supports our programs and services, such as the upcoming historic district coloring book and the hosting of this web site.

What does it cost to run a neighborhood nonprofit?

  • web hosting: $10/month
  • phone service: $20/month
  • web domain name: $10/year
  • 500 sheets of paper for flyers: $5
  • one toner cartridge: $70
  • saving a historic building from demolition: $0 to $2 MM
  • raising awareness of the importance of historic buildings: priceless

Cash donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Magazines and books

We ask that donations of magazine subscriptions be directed to the Connolly Branch Library on behalf of Historic Hyde Square. To help our educational mission, subscriptions to the following titles are suggested:

Practical preservation how-to manuals (such as those by preservation consultant John Leeke) are particularly rare in library collections.

Photos and documents

Old photos, house plans, deeds, maps, letters, postcards, or other documents are welcome. We are also happy to borrow and digitize your original and then return it to you.

In-kind donations

We accept in-kind donations of products and services. Contact us if you have skills or products you'd like to contribute. Our use or mention of a product or service is not intended as an endorsement, and we do not allow the use of our name or logo in conjunction with any product advertisement or testimonial.
